Nina L. Clark, age 73, a resident of Fort Scott, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
She was born July 21, 1937, in Butler, Mo., the daughter of Floyd Orear and Margaret Schooley Orear.
Nina married Charles Clark on May 17, 1955, at her family's farm near Foster, Mo.
In addition to working on the family dairy farm, Nina had worked in various area grocery stores and had also sold real estate.
Later, Nina and her friends owned and operated Grandmother's Treasure Room in downtown Fort Scott.
She also enjoyed raising exotic cats and founded the Central States Ocelot Club in Kansas City, Mo.
She was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband, Charles, of the home; a son, Anthony Clark and wife, Linda, Lebanon, Mo.; and a daughter, Lozana Zimmerman and husband, John, Fort Scott, Kan.
Also surviving is a brother, Buford Orear and wife, Lorinda, Hume, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Zimmerman, Fort Scott; and Doug Clark, Lebanon, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pastor Mansour Khajehpour will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
