Marilyn Fornwalt Kredel, a native of Fort Scott, will present a concert of classical and sacred music on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the First Church of God, at the corner of Wall Street and Broadway.

Kredel is the daughter of Rosalyn Fornwalt and the late Rev. Wesley Fornwalt, who was pastor of the First Church of God for many years. While living in Fort Scott, Kredel studied piano with Mary Pinkston and played violin under the tutelage of Arlene Purcell and Carl Clinesmith.

When the Fornwalt family moved to Illinois, she continued her piano studies at Millikin University while attending high school in Decatur, Ill.

Marilyn currently resides in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she is on the music staff of Mountain View Presbyterian Church as organist, pianist, and harpsichordist.
