Prescott Country View Nursing Home news

The Prescott Country View Nursing Home had a great birthday party on the 18th with a bunch of spooks and ghosts supplying the cakes, treats and entertainment. The UMW from Prescott were the party planners in disguise. We even had spooky music being played on the piano. Thanks so much to the UMW for spending the afternoon with us.

We lost three of our loved ones this past month. Jimmy Miller passed away on Sept. 20. Jimmy was with us for a few months and we are so grateful for having known him. He was a good storyteller and we loved to take him outside with us on breaks to hear some of his stories. We will also miss his wife dearly. We were able to spend quite a bit of time together.

Vivian Myers passed away on Oct. 4. Vivian had once been an employee here at Country View and had also worked at some of the other nursing homes in our area. We were very fortunate to have her with us and to get to spend time with her.

Eva Atherton passed way on Oct. 15. Eva was a beautiful person who never raised her voice for any reason and was so calm and peaceful, it was a joy to spend time with her.

Birthdays for November are: Freda Courtois and Ruby Baker. We will be having our monthly birthday party on Nov. 22 to celebrate these residents and all employees who have November birthdays.

We have church services every Sunday at 2 p.m. and all are welcome. Please stop by if you can.

We also have Bible study every Thursday at 10 a.m.

On Oct. 29, the preschool kids from Hume will be stopping by to have a "Little Monsters" Halloween Party with us. We love when the little ones come by.

Three new residents have moved into our home and we are very happy to have them here.

We worked at the brand new amphitheatre in Mound City on Oct. 9 to raise some money for our home. It is a beautiful addition to Mound City and the night we were there was perfect weather and the music was wonderful. We had a great time being there. And thanks to all the people that attended.
