The final night of Fort Scott Middle School intramural football for the 2010 season included the annual all-star games for the seventh and eighth graders after they were combined on teams the rest of the season.

In the seventh-grade game, the Maroon defeated the Gray, 22-14. The Black defeated the Blue, 6-0, in the eighth-grade game.

The Maroon scored first on a 12-yard run by Jordan Phillps. Carter Young ran in the 2-point conversion.

The Gray came back with a 14-yard touchdown run by Marcus Stepps. But the conversion was no good.

Maroon scored again as Young ran in from 7 yards out. Later Young scored from 53 yards out and Dalton Barnes ran in the conversion to make the lead 22-6.

Evin Maze scored on a 16-yard run for the Gray and Josh Hudiburg ran in the 2-point conversion to cap the scoring.

For the Maroon, Young rushed 17 times for 232 yards. Defensively, Young made 14 tackles and Nicholas Woods had 9.

Maze led the Gray with 98 yards rushing on 12 carries while Stepps had 90 on 10 rushes.

Maze also had 12 tackles to lead the Gray defense. Hudiburg and Wyatt Tourtillott each had 5.

The only score in the eighth-grade game came on Wyatt Reehl's 1-yard quarterback sneak, which was set up by Drew Martin's interception return. Statistics were incomplete for the eighth-grade game and were not sent in.


Intramural volleyball results from October 11:

* In the first sixth-grade match, the Huskies beat the Hurricanes, 25-15, 20-25, 25-12. Mallory Westhoff served 11 points for the Huskies. Kinley Rice served 10 for the Hurricanes.

* Dinomight beat the Sizzlin Sparklers, 25-21, 25-27, 15-12. Emily Hale served 15 points for Dinomight while Sammie Poyner served 19 for the Sparklers.

* Seventh- and eighth-grade action begins with NetFlix's 18-25, 25-17, 15-11 rally past RHFP. Jennifer Harrison served 12 points for NetFlix. Madison Cannon served 15 points for RHFP.

* QPVP swept PowerBall, 25-10, 25-6. Meghan Guss served 18 points for QPVP. Madeline McCoy served 4 for PowerBall.

* Spike-A-Fied swept VolleyPops, 25-15, 25-15. Kourtney Heaton served 20 points for Spike-A-Fied. Hannah Geneva served 7 for VolleyPops.

* Blockbusters swept Dynamite, 25-14, 25-16. Abbi Keating served 16 points for BlockBusters. MaKenna Berger served 9 for Dynamite.

* Seventh- and eighth-grade bracket play began with RHFP's 25-20, 25-16 sweep of PowerBall, 25-20, 25-16. Kennede Reynolds served 14 points for RHFP. McCoy and Cassidy Westhoff served 6 points each for PowerBall.

* Blockbusters swept VolleyPops, 25-21, 25-17. Keating served 18 points for Blockbusters. Emma Reeves and Shakila Callahan each served 7 for VolleyPops.


Intramural volleyball results from October 13:

* In the first sixth-grade match, the Hurricanes got by the Sizzlin Sparklers, 25-23, 13-25, 27-25. Tucker Ross served 12 points for the Hurricanes. Hannah Combs served 17 points for the Sparklers.

* The Huskies beat Dinomight, 17-25, 25-11, 15-11. Emilee Cotter served 20 points for the winners and Kati Coll served 11 for Dinomight.

* QPVP beat Spike-A-Fied, 25-18, 17-25, 15-13. Skylar Winningham served 18 points for QPVP. Heaton served 17 for Spike-A-Fied.

* NetFlix beat Dynamite, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10. Kinede Ross served 16 points for NetFlix. Berger served 10 for Dynamite.

* PowerBall beat VolleyPops, 25-23, 21-25, 15-11. McCoy served 21 points for PowerBall and Callahan served 13 for VolleyPops.

* Dynamite swept Spike-A-Fied, 26-24, 25-16. Heaton served 17 points for Dynamite. Berger served 10 for Spike-A-Fied.

* RHFP swept Blockbusters, 25-21, 25-16. Cannon served 17 points for RHFP. Keating, Lily Zimmerman and MaKayla Steely served 7 each for Blockbusterts.

* NetFlix defeated QPVP, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12. Harrison served 20 points for NetFlix and Winningham served 16 for QPVP.


Intramural volleyball results from October 15:

* Seventh-and eighth-grade tournament seventh-place match: VolleyPops beat Dynamite, 25-17, 22-25, 15-8. Callahan and Kelsey Stanley served 10 points each for VolleyPops. Berger served for 12 points for Dynamite.

* Fifth-place match: PowerBall beat Spike-A-Fied, 19-25, 25-21, 15-10. Cassidy Westhoff served 19 points for PowerBall. Heaton served 25 for Spike-A-Fied.

* Third-place match: BlockBuster beat QPVP, 25-21, 11-25, 25-10. Katie Gorman served 12 points for BlockBusters. Karlie Harris served the same number for QPVP.

* Championship match: NetFlix beat RHFP, 25-18, 27-25. Ross served 10 points for NetFlix. Cannon served 12 for RHFP.
