Harold Lloyd Culp, 76, formerly of Fort Scott, died in Sunnyvale, Texas Oct. 9, 2010.
He was born in Fort Scott, Kan., May 7, 1934 the son of Christopher Allen and Edith Cora (Moore) Culp.
He married Shirley Jean Cowan Oct. 3, 1954 in Fort Scott. She survives of the home.
He is a retired Air Force Veteran, having served for 20 years, and he worked for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, Harold is survived by a son, Kevan Culp and wife Rachel, six grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Chris Culp of Fort Scott; and Paul Culp of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Shirley Mullins of Arvada, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his children, Harold P. Culp Jr., Sherise Jean Tuggle, and Darryl Culp, and three brothers, Leroy, Fred and John Culp.
VFW Chaplain James Stradley will conduct funeral services 11 a.m. Friday Oct. 15, 2010 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with burial following at the Uniontown Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the US Air Force Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening Oct. 14, 2010 from 7 p.m. Until 8 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
