MORAN -- Pleasanton's volleyball team split a Three Rivers League triangular here Tuesday night, beating Oswego but falling to host Marmaton Valley, both in 3 games.
Scores against Oswego were 26-28, 25-22, 25-20. Megan Lowe recorded 12 kills and Lindsey Conn had 4. Johnnea Saulsberry dished 10 assists while Conn had 8.
"Going into this, I was worried," Pleasanton head coach Danny Looney said. "We were without Karesa Lewis with an ankle injury, Megan Lowe was pretty sick and Teal Baker had missed practice due to illness. But the girls surprised me with their great play. Brytnee was huge on the serve line. At one point, she served 12 straight points for us. Megan had another big night at the net. Conn played a lot of all three sets and did a great job of setting and hitting."
Marmaton Valley defeated the Blu-Jays, 25-12, ,22-25, 25-12. Lowe had 6 kills and Saulsberry handed out 5 assists.
"I don't know what it is but Marmaton Valley just has our number lately," Looney noted. "We struggle every time we face them."
The Blu-Jays (1-1 TRL, 7-14 overall) will face Altoona-Midway and Northeast at a league triangular at Buffalo Tuesday night.
