Charlotte Ruth Wright Eichelberger, 57, resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday morning, Aug. 21, 2010, at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born May 11, 1953, at Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Noble Sylvester Wright and Goldie Maye Feezell Wright.

She received her education from Fort Scott Christian Heights School.

Charlotte married Teddy Lee Eichelberger on March 7, 1974, at Olathe, Kan. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2001.

She had worked for many years as an underwriter for Farmer's Insurance Company.

Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family and working on genealogy.

She also enjoyed making her assorted plates of candy, homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.

Music was also an important part of Charlotte's life.

She attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her siblings, Kenneth Wright and wife, Darlene, Overland Park, Kan.; Melba Hull, Eldon, Mo.; Freda Russell and husband, Joe, Centerville, Pa.; Gary Wright and wife, Alma Jean, Gardner, Kan.; Betty Kelso and husband, Steve, Fort Scott, Kan.; Leon Wright, Seneca, Mo.; Nathan Wright and wife, Renee, Olathe, Kan.; and Dorothy Ann Reynolds and husband David, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James Kenton Wright and Jerry Wright and a sister, Kathryn Harms.

Rev. Scott Moore will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the First Church of the Nazarene.

Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
