Robert Bruce "Bob" Foster, 61, of Olathe, Kan., died peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 4, with family at his side.
A Fort Scott, Kan., native, Bob was born on March 20, 1949 to Bruce and Augusta Foster.
He graduated from Fort Scott High School and then graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in automotive technology.
Bob's loves in life included fishing and hunting with his two sons, teaching his girls to cook and imparting life advice to so many people, in only the way Bob could. Bob's loyalty was his strong suit.
He worked for just two companies, UPS and John Deere, over the last 43 years.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Barbara, Mary and Susan; daughters, Emily and Rebecca; sons, Michael and Brian; and granddaughter, Ryleigh.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 08, 2010 at Dayton Cemetery, Redfield, Kan., near Fort Scott. Friends may call between 6 and 8 p.m., Wednesday, at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula, Olathe, Kan.
