Saturday, May 29, 2010

FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- Tuesday afternoon, Fort Scott Community College and KSEK radio will hold a press conference on the FSCC campus to discuss major changes to the sports broadcasting arena in the four states and how that will impact Greyhound Athletics.

KSEK manager Mike Snow will be on hand to brief the media regarding the announcement, which comes in conjunction with the official press conference naming KSEK as the exclusive radio affiliate of Greyhound Athletics. Also on hand will be FSCC Athletic Director J.D. Ettore, members of the Greyhound Athletic Department and FSCC Administration.

"The change our station is making will impact the way people all around the four states area get their information about local and national sports," Snow said. "It will help us make an even larger commitment to cover more area teams and broadcast more local and national sporting events."

"This new media partnership will provide Greyhound Athletics with expanded coverage within the state of Kansas, which is critical for recruitment," Ettore said. "Greyhound Athletics will also gain a larger national footprint based off of the media components contained in this new deal." The press conference will take place at 2 p.m., in the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center.

The general public is encouraged to attend with any questions they may have about the new affiliation between KSEK and FSCC or about KSEK's announcement. Refreshments will be served.
