Jackson, Sister Mary Trinity RSM, a Sister of Mercy, died in St. Louis at Catherine's Residence on April 28, 2010.
She was born Nov. 22, 1923 in Humboldt, Kan., and was baptized Evelyn Arbutus Jackson.
Sister Mary Trinity entered the Sisters of Mercy community at Webster Groves, Mo., on Feb. 1, 1946 and professed her first Vows on Aug. 16, 1948.
She received her R.N. in Nursing Education from St. Mary's College in Xavier, Kan., in 1957.
She received her M. A. in Hospital Administration from St. Louis University in 1968.
She also received a Certificate of Pastoral Education in San Antonio, Texas in 1985.
Her ministry included Nursing and Nursing Supervisor at Mercy hospitals in Kansas.
She became Administrator of Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott and Laredo, Texas in 1995.
Sister Mary Trinity returned to Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott as a volunteer.
While in Fort Scott, Sister was active in the Chamber of Commerce.
She retired to St. Joseph Convent of Mercy in St. Louis in 2004 and moved to Catherine's Residence in 2006.
She is survived by her sister, Vivian J. Steinbuchel of Fairfax, Va.; nieces, Mary Catherine Becker, Johanna Mulhall and Sarah Curtin and nephews Phil Weide and Herman J. Steinbuchel, and brother-in-law, Calvin Brodman.
Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Louis on May 1, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery.
