Roger L. Sickles, age 47, resident of rural Fort Scott, died late Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Mercy Health Center Emergency Room following an accident.
He was born June 7, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Raymond Eugene Sickles, Sr. and Peggy Jo Lee Sickles.
He married Ruth Crawford on Feb. 14, 1983.
Roger worked construction and later for Fort Scott Livestock separating cattle.
He attended the Assembly of God church.
Survivors include his wife Ruth of the home, his father, Raymond Sickles Sr.; two brothers, Raymond Sickles, Jr., Fort Scott, and Luke Sickles, Chesapeake, Va., three sisters, Debbie Chirco, Colo., Donna Beal, Eve, Mo., and Connie May, Girard, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his Mother; one brother, Herman Sickles and one infant sister, Kathy Sickles.
Pastor Trena Cooper will conduct funeral services for Roger Sickles at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Cremation with family burial will follow.
