Thelma (Lorrie) Lorraine Scott, former resident of Fort Scott, died on April 14, 2010 at Fayetteville, Ark.
Thelma was born March 20, 1924 in Fredonia, Kan., the daughter of Roy Allison and Iva Mae (Traner) Scott.
Thelma married Walter William Hamilton on Feb. 8, 1942 at Cherryvale, Kan.
Thelma's second marriage was to Don W. Jacobs in October 1948.
Her third marriage was to J.W. Scott on Aug. 5, 1966.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, and son, Kurt Hamilton.
Thelma worked for the Continental Can Company in Coffeyville, Kan., during the early 1940s. In March 1943, she temporarily left Kansas to go to Fort Worth, Texas to work for the Globe Aircraft Company.
Thelma received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy Waves Oct. 11, 1944 at the U.S. Naval Training School, Bronx, New York.
As a child visiting relatives in California, Thelma knew she would enjoy living in California. She moved to Ontario, Calif., in 1962.
Thelma owned a home in Chula Vista, Calif., prior to moving to Arkansas in 2002.
She is survived by a sister Norma Virginia (Scott) Eill of Florida, N.Y.; son Kris S. Jacobs and wife Joy of Fayetteville, Ark.; her aunt Lois Jean (Scott) Klure of Riverside, Calif.; and sister-in-law Milly M. Finley of Tulsa, Okla.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
