Frances Snow Robinson, age 92, a former resident of Fort Scott, Kan., and more recently of the Country View Nursing Home in Prescott, Kan., died early Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott.
She was born Oct. 22, 1917, in Crawford County, Kan., the daughter of William D. Snow and Glenna Herndon Snow.
She married James E. Robinson on Nov. 8, 1942, at Nevada, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1978.
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for many years.
While in Arizona, Frankie owned and operated her own hair salon for 15 years.
She was a member of the National Hairdressers Association, the American Business Women and had served as past vice-president for the Arizona Pharmaceutical Association Auxiliary. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Scott.
Survivors include three nieces, Mary Lou Hardy, Pleasanton, Kan., Dora Shook, McPherson, Kan., and Wilma Watt, Frontenac, Kan.; and a nephew, Don Snow, St. Clair, Mo.; as well as several devoted great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rev. Paul Babcock will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church.
A time of visitation will follow the funeral service.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
