NEODESHA -- Uniontown's baseball team split a doubleheader here Friday, winning the opener 12-8 while Neodesha won the nightcap 17-4 after 4 1/2 innings on the run rule.

Junior pitcher Anthony Myers (2-1) pitched all 7 innings for the Eagles. He allowed 11 hits and 1 walk with 4 strikeouts.

Although the Bluestreaks took a 3-0 lead after the first inning, Uniontown was able to tie the score in the third with 3 runs of its own.

Kyle Mills reached base on an error. Then Tyler Hall followed up with a base hit. Ty Clayton hit a double to bring both of them in and scored himself after singles by Myers and Austin Jefferis.

Neodesha took the lead back with a run in the bottom of the third. Uniontown took the lead again with 4 in the fifth to make it 7-4.

Myers was hit by a pitch. Then Jefferis hit a double and Du'Shaun Robinson drew a walk to load the bases. Mills' 2-out single scored Myers. Hall drove in Jefferis and Robinson with a double. Mills scored the final run on a passed ball.

Neodesha tied the score at 7-7 after 6 innings. The Eagles plated 5 in the seventh.

Hall drove in Felt, who had reached on a fielder's choice, with one out. Max Labbe followed with a single. Jordan Woods followed up with a hit that scored the go-ahead run. Clayton followed with a 3-run scoring double.

Hall went 4 for 5 at the plate with 2 doubles and 3 runs batted in. Labbet was 3 for 5 while Woods, Clayton, Myers, Jefferis and Mills had 2 hits each. Clayton drove in 5 runs.

Hall and Labbe each had singles to start the game. Clayton drove in both of them with a double. Myers then singles and Robinson walked to load the bases. Feld drew a walk to force in Clayton and Myers scored when Maloney drew another walk.

That turned out to be all the Eagles would get in this game. Neodesha exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the third and scored 4 more in the fourth.
