Community award winners

Jason E. Silvers/Tribune The United Way of Bourbon County announced the winners of its Community Awards during the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce Coffee on Thursday at the Keyhole. Winners represent companies, businesses, schools and organizations that donated or pledged donations to the United Way's successful 2009-10 campaign. Representatives of this year's winners, with their plaques, include (from left) Bob Garner and Carrie Allen of Citizens Bank, NA, in the commercial division; Mike Willis and (far right) Jim Sackett of Westar Energy in the industrial division; Gina Findley of Diehl Banwart Bolton, CPA, PA, in the professional division; Janet Braun of USD 234 in the public division; and Rachel French of Ward/Kraft, Inc., which won the In-kind/Employee Participation Award. Other plaques awarded include the Over the Top award which was presented to USD 234, and the Off and Running Award which was presented to Westar Energy. (Jason E. Silvers/Tribune)
