Marmaton Valley Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers

Thursday, March 18, 2010
The Marmaton Valley Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers met Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, and had a good crowd with 12 entertainers and 31 guests.

Edith and Glen Seigler and their mother and grand parents entertained us with some great music. They enjoy coming and playing with us and they bring their instruments with the two young ones playing their violin and Edith sand several numbers too.

We were glad to see Richard and Agnes Pearman from Iola. They don't belong to our chapter anymore but like to come and play with us often. Their nephew Steve Pearman brought them.

The Marmaton Valley Old Time Fiddlers and Pickers met at the Senior Citizen Building on North Main Street Sunday, March 14.

We had a good crowd with 11 entertainers and 23 guests. Gil Raney from the Osawatomie Chapter and Richard Pearman from the Iola Chapte camer. Mrs. Pearman came with him, she isn't very well and uses a walker but did enjoy the afternoon.

Edith and Glen Sigler from the Columbus Chapter brought their violins and played the piano too. They enjoy playing with our members and would like to join sometime. Their grandparrents and mother came with them and helped take part some. The entertainers played some more after we had closed the chapter. We all like to take part and fill in with the music.

The next meeting will be April 11 at the same place. We would be glad to have you come and take part.
