Four recieve All-SEK hoop honors

Four Fort Scott High School players -- two boys and two girls -- were picked for the All-Southeast Kansas League basketball teams last week. Fort Scott senior Gary Floyd was one of three unanimous picks to the boys' First Team. The others were Coffeyville junior Cameron Craig and Chanute senior Cory Henshall. Also on the team were Coffeyville senior Ethan Cordray, Labette County senior Brannon Green and Pittsburg senior Blake Wilson.

The Second Team has senior Gerald Austin and sophomore James Jackson of Parsons, senior Matt Crain of Columbus and juniors Peyton Botts of Independence and Jordan Elliott of Pittsburg.

FSHS junior Griffin Knopp was picked Honorable Mention along with Parsons seniors Tarail Johnson and Trey Thomas, Iola senior Seth Waldron and Chanute junior Dustin Eccles.

Senior Jolee Sharp, Fort Scott's all-time career and single-season ladies' scorer, was a unanimous First Team pick along with Pittsburg senior Kristina Willis. Also on on the First Team are seniors Aly Aylward of Chanute, McKenna Britton of LCHS and Jazmyne Honeycutt of Iola and junior Kelby McGrath of Independence.

Fort Scott junior Megan McDermed was picked to the Second Team along with juniors Jessica Anderson of Columbus, Megan Workman of LCHS and Sandi Wilson of Independence and sophomore Shelbie Foister of LCHS.

Receiving Honorable Mention were Columbus senior Danielle Crain, Chanute senior Kameron Braman, Pittsburg senior Hannah Wolgamott, Iola sophomore Kelsey Larson and Parsons sophomore Taylor Kemp.

The All-SEK teams were withheld per league policy until Coffeyville's boys finished Class 4A State Tournament play.
