Three Eagles, one Blu-Jay earn All-TRL honors

Three members of Uniontown's team and one Pleasanton player were named to the All-Three Rivers League girls' basketball team, which arrived at the Fort Scott Tribune office Friday afternoon.

The All-TRL boys' team was not available at press time. It will be presented once it arrives.

League champion St. Paul -- which played for third place in Kansas Class 1A Friday afternoon -- had two unanimous selections to the First Team: Senior Jessica Tuck and junior Morgan Westhoff. Also chosen from St. Paul were seniors Allison O'Brien and Kennedee Borum and junior Erin Tuck.

Uniontown had two First-Team picks in senior Abbie Smith and sophomore Jacy Ermel. Oswego was the other team with multiple picks with senior Jessica Bates and junior Kali Kitterman.

Rounding out the First Team are Marmaton Valley junior Maggie Meiwes, Chetopa senior Jenea Jackson and Altoona-Midway senior Kaylie Leck.

Uniontown juniors Breanna Esslinger and Tiffany Poyner and Pleasanton junior Johnnea Saulsberry were named to the Honorable Mention team.

Also earning Honorable Mention status were seniors Regan Powers and Lyndy Gatlin and junior Kelsey Spears of Altoona-Midway; seniors Myiesha Ingram and Emily Moses of Chetopa; Crest senior Amanda Strickler and junior Ashley Catt; Marmaton Valey senior Alysha Westhoff; and Oswego sophomore Kinzie Nesbitt.
