Lois Naydean Conrad, age 81, former resident of 105 Archer Road, Fort Scott, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Sharon Lane Health Services in Shawnee, Kan.
She was born May 13, 1928, in Douthat, Okla., the daughter of Dewey Fraizer and Beulah Rakestraw Fraizer.
Naydean married Lon Franklin Conrad on May 27, 1954. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2000.
She had worked as a clerk in the Fort Scott Gift Shoppe.
She also had volunteered her time at Buck Run to help prepare Meals on Wheels.
She was a member of the Red Hatter's Club.
Naydean moved to Kansas City in 2005 to be near her family. While living there she attended St. Teresa Catholic Church in Parkville, Mo.
Survivors include one son, Robert Conrad and wife Christine, Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Jackie Bishard and husband Larry, Parkville, Mo.; and a sister, Lorene Curry, Galena, Kan.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kelly Mann, Leslie Stumph, Jonathan Bishard, Melissa Thomas, Jason Conrad and Joshua Conrad; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a great-great-grandson, Braden May and a brother, Neil Fraizer.
Father Darrin May will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, in the U. S. National Cemetery.
