Robert Lee Norris, 82, of Parsons, died at 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Morris was born July 20, 1927 at Fulton, Kan., the son of Jack and Della Garrett Morris.

Robert was a retired diesel mechanic and musician.

He was raised in Crawford County and attended rural Arcadia schools.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Collins of Jacksonville, Ala., Cindy Morris of Parsons, and Sherry Morris of Pittsburg, one son, Jerry Morris of Humboldt, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Steve and Jeff Morris, two daughters, Judy and Nancy Morris, one sister, Wanda Judge, and three brothers, John, Jim and Dan Morris.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2010 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, with Larry Collins giving the eulogy.

Burial will be at the Sheffield Cemetery near Arcadia.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bedene Chapel prior to services.
