"Sometimes, you have to win ugly," Uniontown head coach Ken Holt said. "And that is what we did tonight."
Abbie Smith and Jacy Ermel, usually the top two scorers for the Eagles (5-1 TRL, 12-7 overall), combined to make only 3 of 20 field-goal tries and score 11 points. But Hayden Rathbun and Brooke Harper combined to go 5 of 9 from behind the 3-point line for Uniontown.
"Brooke and Hayden both hit some big shots when we needed them," Holt said.
Rathbun led the Eagles with 10 points while Harper finished with 9. Ermel contributed with 10 rebounds and 5 steals while Smith had 6 boards, 3 steals, and 2 assists.
Uniontown led just 7-6 after one period but outscored the Jets (3-3, 9-10) in the second 12-7.
