Ellsworth Russell Long, age 89, former resident of Prescott, Kan., and more recently of Millersville, Penn., died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2010, in Millersville.

He was born May 10, 1920, in Prescott, Kan., the son of Roy Erin Long and Margaret Ethel Miller Long.

Ellsworth was a 1938 graduate of Prescott High School.

He served in the United States Army during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge.

He was retired from the Schick Factory in Lancaster, Penn.

Survivors include three sons, two daughters and one sister, Margaret Long Miller, Fort Scott.

Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Harold and Gillard Long.

Funeral services will be held Thursday in the Andrew Scheid Funeral Home in Millersville.

Burial will be in the U.S. National Cemetery in Millersville.
