Molly Foster Berry NSDAR met in the Methodist Church at 1 p.m., Friday Jan. 15, with five members present.

The meeting was called to order by Treasurer Nolene Whiteside with recitation of the ritual, pledge of allegiance and the American's Creed. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Secretary Grace Hendrix and were approved as read. The Treasurer's report was given and filed for audit.

Officers elected were: Mary Ann French, regent; Bernita Hill, vice regent; Grace Hendrix, secretary; and Nolene Whiteside, treasurer. The motion was made and seconded that officers remain the same.

"The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere", by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in memory of the 275th anniversary of the birth of Paul Revere was read by Grace Hendrix. It was rather lengthy.

An Indian Minute was given by Bernita Hill about how to the Plains Indians, hunting was a method of livelihood. The herds of Bison were the main source of food for the Indians. When the Spanish brought horses to America, it gave the Indians speed to hunt. In 1875, Sheridan moved extermination of Bison to deprive Indians of food.

Our insurance has been raised with no liability.

Mary Ann French has been chosen for the Kansas Fair Board Hall of Fame.

The next meeting will be in the same place. The meeting was adjourned with the Daughter's Pledge.
