Eighth grade basketball splits Joplin East

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Nevada Middle School eighth grade boys basketball A and B teams brought home mixed results as they traveled to Joplin East Middle School Thursday night.

In the B game, the Tigers fell in a tough contest by a final score of 37-19. The A game was a much different story as Nevada cruised to a 48-18 victory.

With the win, the A team improved to 7-2 on the year while the B team fell to 4-4 with Thursday's loss. Both teams are scheduled to be back in action on Monday as they head to Carthage at 5 p.m.
