Claflin -- 50 years

The family of Tom and Janie Claflin, Sheldon, announce the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.

Tom Claflin and Janie Landwehr were married Jan. 28, 1960, at the United Methodist Church, Liberal, Mo. They have resided in Sheldon since that time where they continue their family farming operation. They are the parents of two children, Kathy Claflin and friend Vincent Ashworth, and Charles Claflin and wife Michelle; and five grandchildren, Justin Hancock, and wife Sarah, Kelsey Hancock and Cody, Caitlin and Carly Claflin, all of Sheldon.

A reception honoring the couple is being planned by their children as well as a trip to Houston, Texas.
