FSCC women victorious

IOLA -- Fort Scott Community College's women won their first Jayhawk Conerence-Eastern Division game here Wednesday night as they defeated Allen County, 60-51.

Valencia Kelly led Fort Scott (1-2 East, 9-6 overall) with 20 points while Brittany Demery addded 11.

Breanna Shaw led Allen County (0-3, 6-9) with 15 points and was the only Red Devil to reach double figures.

Allen County's men took an 84-68 victory over Fort Scott (0-3, 3-12). Allen County's athletic department was unable to send any statistics to the Tribune.

Both FSCC teams play host to Independence Saturday afternoon. The women tip off at 2 p.m.
