Submitted photo Shane Bradbury, left, FSCC meats judging team member, was named to the 2009 Second Team All American Meat Judging Team.

The American Meat Science Association names eight All-Americans each year for their efforts in both the classroom and judging. The eight are picked after their cumulative GPA and their best three places in the six contests are entered into an equation. The grade point average is weighted at 25 percent and their judging performance is 75 percent.

The 2009 All American Teams for the "A Division" were recently named at the Cargill Meat Solutions High Plains Meat Judging Contest, held Nov. 1, in Plainview, Texas.

Certified Angus Beef proudly supports and sponsors this award, which recognizes individuals for their total achievements, as opposed to just those exhibited at one contest.

Shane Bradbury attends Fort Scott Community College and participates on the meats judging team.

He strives to work hard in both the classroom and in judging.

Bradbury has placed in the top five in three of the National Contest. His dedication in the class room and his continued success in the meats judging cooler has awarded him top honors.

First and second team members each received a plaque which was generously sponsored by CAB.
