280 area children available for adoption in Beacon holiday program

The Beacon has announced they have plenty of children and family to be adopted this holiday season.

Beacon director Bob Eckles said they have a total of 118 families which have applied for addoption this year, those families include 280 children.

Eckles said local individuals and organizations can come to the Beacon, located on the corner of 6th and Wilson streets, to pick up packets on those they would like to adopt. He said they may stop by the Beacon on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. or make an appointment. To make an appointment, call the Beacon at (620) 223-6869 or by calling Eckles at (620) 223-5038.
