Agronomy expert offers advice on fall wheat planting

According to the Kansas Agricultural Statistics Service, about 10 percent of the wheat intended to be planted in central and western Kansas this year had not yet been planted as of Oct. 25; even less of the wheat has been planted in eastern Kansas due to wet soil and the fact that producers are still waiting to harvest other crops. Jim Shroyer, Extension Agronomy State Leader, has offered the following advice for late plantings.
