ONLINE FIRST: Mercy Health System of Kansas announces new leaders

Mercy Health System of Kansas officials announced Wednesday that MHSK Chief Operating Officer Reta Baker has been named president of Mercy Health Center of Fort Scott, and MHSK Vice President of Human Resources and Outreach Eric Ammons has been named as president of Mercy Hospital of Independence. The two executives will assume their roles immediately.

The appointments come following a redesign of the company's leadership structure and the resignation in September of current MHSK President and CEO John Woodrich.
