Anyone may nominate a candidate with final selection being made by the Alumni and Friends Association Board of Directors. Nominations are due by Oct. 30.
Criteria for the award states that first preference will be given to a candidate who is a graduate of FSCC; though candidates with a significant amount of hours from FSCC may be considered. Nominees must exhibit a high moral character, good citizenship, and outstanding achievement in his or her chosen field. Recipients will be expected to give a short speech at graduation ceremonies and attend a reception in his or her honor. Outstanding Young Alumni candidates should be 40 years of age or younger.
To nominate a candidate, a form must be completed and turned in by the sponsor submitting the person's name. It is the sponsor's responsibility to have the candidate fill out the two-page form.
