The Eagles (23-1) beat Pleasanton, 25-14, 25-2, and Crest, 25-16, 25-10.
In the match against Pleasanton, Abbie Smith recorded 13 kills and Jacy Ermel had 4. In the Crest match, Smith picked up 8 kills and Ermel recorded 6.
Uniontown remains in the No. 2 spot in Class 2A in the Kansas Volleyball Association's latest poll. Oberlin remains No. 1 at 23-1. Inman is No. 3 with a record of 24-4 followed by newcomer Goessell at No. 4 with a 21-6 record and Onaga dropping one spot to No. 5 at 18-6.
Other teams receiving votes in the poll are Hill City (17-4), Republic County (18-6), Spearville (18-6) and Blue Rapids-Valley Heights (18-6).
The Eagles are preparing to host the Uniontown Invitational Saturday with matches played at the main gym at West Bourbon Elementary as well as the Uniontown High School gym. The first match in each pool begins at 8:30 a.m. with subsequent matches scheduled to begin five minutes after the conclusion of the previous one.
Pool A includes Uniontown, Frontenac, Northeast, Olathe Metro Academy and Pleasanton. It will be played at WBE. Pool B has Southern Coffey County, Marmaton Valley, Crest, Riverton and Yates Center.
The third-place match will be played between the second-place teams in each pool. The championship match will feature the winners of each pool.
