Middle School VIP group prepares for Fall Extravaganza

The Very Involved Parents (VIP) organization at Fort Scott Middle School is making preparations for the group's annual VIP Fall Extravaganza.

The fun shopping event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at FSMS, 1105 E. 12th St. Baked goods, as well as several homemade products, such as crafts, jewelry and scarves, will be offered at the event. The event may also include commercial items and other products from catalogs, according to a statement from organizers.

"Make plans now to attend this great event and get a jump on your Thanksgiving and holiday shopping," the statement said.

Those people who are interested in renting a table for the sale of items at the event may contact Barbara Albright or Stephanie George at (620) 223-3262, or by e-mail at balbrigh@usd234.org or sgeorge@usd234.org by Friday, Oct. 16.

The rental fee is $25 per table and tables will be made available on a first come, first served basis. The fee will go toward the VIP fund to help with student events throughout the year, and will also help purchase needed classroom supplies and materials.
