He was born April 27, 1931, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Frank Miller and Leora Mae Keffer Miller.
Frank married Laura Edens on May 25, 1951, at Fort Scott, Kan.
In his earlier years, he worked as a logger and later performed heavy equipment maintenance for the City of Fort Scott. Following his retirement from the city, he owned and operated Miller's Tree Service for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Laura, of the home; three sons, Frank C. "Tink" Miller and wife, Bobby, Fort Scott, Kan., George D. Miller and wife, Susan, Eudora, Kan., and Doug Miller and wife, Tammy, Fort Scott, Kan.; a daughter, Anna Miller, Fort Scott.
Also surviving is a sister, Anna Mae Cobler, Fort Scott, Kan.; six grandchildren, Thabena Bower and husband, Jason, Deerfield, Mo., Frank Lynn Miller and wife, Shana, Robert Miller, Daniel Miller, Clayton Miller and Colee Miller all of Fort Scott; and eight great-grandchildren, Luke, Tori, Tanner, Frank Alan, Micala, Preslee, Chandler, and Payton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Paul Tyler and two sisters, Bertha Winters and Mary Robison Hillman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Lath Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
