HARRY EVERETT DUNN
Harry Everett Dunn, 89 of Fort Scott, died Sunday afternoon Sept. 27, 2009 at the Guest Home Estates.
He was born July 9, 1920 at Pawnee Station, Kan., the son of Harry O. and Freda Anderson Dunn.
Everett spent his entire life in the Pawnee Station area except for his time in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing baseball.
He took great pride in his farming and received the Bankers Award for soil and water conservation.
He is survived by two nephews, Clyde Rodney Pentz of Whitby, Ontario, Canada, and Walter Mark Pentz of Chandler, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Monica Pentz, and two brothers; Clyde and Walter Dunn, both lost in the armed services during World War II.
Funeral services for Everett Dunn will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Babcock officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mercy Health Center.
