Tiger JV 2-2 at home

The Fort Scott High School junior varsity volleyball team had two victories in four matches as it hosted the Southeast Kansas League JV Tournament Saturday.

The Tigers (5-7) began the day with a 25-18, 25-18 loss to Parsons. Kenzie Heatherly had 5 digs in the match.

In the second match, Fort Scott took Labette County to three games before falling, 25-18, 20-25, 15-12. Kelsey Middleton had 3 kills and Jessica Cox served 3 aces.

The Tigers defeated Columbus, 25-5, 25-8. Taylor Grand served 9 aces, Cox 6 and Paige Denton 5. Kristin Allen picked up 2 kills.

The Tigers won the final match, 25-21, 25-18, against Coffeyville. Heather Karleskint had 2 kills and Middleton served 6 aces.

The Tiger JV will be at home Thursday night against Parsons and Coffeyville. Play will begin at 5 p.m. in the FSHS gymnasium
