Tuesday, September 15, 2009
Each year the City of Fort Scott honors the dedication of its long serving employees.

This year Tom Coffman, Fort Scott Public Works Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, was honored for his 10 years of service. In addition, Fort Scott Fire Department Lt. Dave Bruner and Johnny Keating were honored for their 15 years of service. Also honored were Fort Scott Police Officer Craig Rice and FSFD Captain Robert Coffman for their 20 years of service. Lastly, Water Utility Clerk Cindy McKenny, and Maintenance II Water Meter Reader Julius Jackson were honored for their 30 years of service.

"Dedicated employees are the foundation of any organization and the city is no exception," Fort Scott Mayor Gary Bukowski said.

They do a great job. It's rare to see someone stick with a job so long anymore, especially when other jobs may pay better. Thanks to all of you!
