Ethel Lucile (Baker) Mauck passed away on Aug. 30, 2009, in Pittsburg, Kan.

She was born to Robert Louis and Stella Angeline (Hatcher) Baker on June 21, 1917, in Topeka, Kan.

On Jan. 30, 1941, she married David Henry Peter Mauck. To this union were born five children.

She and her husband were missionaries to Jamaica for eighteen years.

Upon returning to the United States, Lucile served as an assistant to her husband, the Executive Secretary for Foreign Mission Board of Church of God (Holiness) from 1963-1983.

After retirement they moved to the El Dorado Springs, Mo., area where she became active in her local church.

Survivors include two sons: Larry and his wife Jody of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Raymond and his wife Sharon of Fort Scott, Kan.; two daughters: Marilyn Mauck and husband Raymond Johnson, and Marjorie and husband David Rice, all of Claremore, Okla.; one sister: Florence Taylor of Topeka, Kan.; five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Lucile was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann; one brother, Oren Baker; and five sisters: Elsie Reedus, Inez Genetske, Marie Potter, Ruth Arnold, and Marjorie Harrison.

Services for Lucile Mauck will be on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, 2 p.m. at the Church of God (Holiness) in El Dorado Springs, Mo., with Rev. Joe Trussell officiating.

Interment will follow in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs, Mo.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Church of God (Holiness) World Missions in memory of Lucile Mauck.
