MINNIE JANE WEST

Minnie Jane West, age 75, resident of Fulton, Kansas, died Tuesday, July 07, 2009, at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 1, 1934, in Bourbon County, Kansas, the daughter of John Taylor and Bertha White Taylor. Minnie married Vernon West on March 10, 1949, in Mound City, Kansas. She attended the Fulton United Methodist Church and was a member of the Osaga Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon, of the home in Fulton; a son, Steve West and wife Velia, Fulton; a daughter, Kathleen Hall, Olathe, Kansas; brother John Taylor, Fort Scott; half brother, James Radford, Overland Park, Kansas; and a sister, Ruth Brown, East Wenatchee, Washington. Also surviving are two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step grandson and one step great granddaughter.

There was cremation. Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Fulton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Osaga Cemetery west of Fulton. Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association or the Fulton United Methodist Church and may be sent to the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
