Home Canning Workshop to be presented July 23 in Nevada

Is gardening a new passion? Want to home can, but don't know how? Fearful of a pressure canner or in need pf a refresher on home canning techniques? When harvest time arrives for summer produce, local gardeners want to be ready to preserve the extras the family doesn't eat right away.

University of Missouri Extension is offering a canning workshop in Nevada on July 23, 1-4 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church. The cost for the workshop is $10 per person and paid registration is required by July 20. Child care is also available at $3 per child.
