The "Fuss and Feathers" musical duo and other local musicians are scheduled to perform a concert Friday evening during the first-ever Riverfront Festival.

The concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday under a tent on the 400 block of North National Avenue near the banks of the Marmaton River. The concert will provide musical entertainment for attendees of the Riverfront Festival, a cookout to celebrate the development of the Marmaton Riverfront project that will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the same location.

"Fuss and Feathers" consists of vocalist and guitarist Ralph Carlson, and James "Red" Stradley, who sings, and plays harmonica and fiddle. The duo will be joined by other local musicians during the concert, including vocalist and bassist Mim Carlson, and Don Carlson, who sings and plays guitar. The concert will also feature Marilyn Adcock, a vocalist who also plays the guitar and autoharp, and vocalist Floyd Feezell.

The concert is part of the continuing weekly Friday night summer concert series that is sponsored by the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Division. The concerts typically take place at the Heritage Park Pavilion near the corner of First and Main streets, but organizers changed the location this week only to coincide with the Riverfront Festival.
