MULBERRY -- Two Mulberry men were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident Thursday morning.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, Jalachi Justice, 16, and Charles Dugone, 76, were both injured in the accident, which occurred two miles east of 170th Street on Kansas Highway 47. Justice was driving a 1990 Ford Ranger pickup, which Dugone owned. Both men suffered "incapacitating injuries," according to a news release.

Justice was taken to Girard Medical Center by Crawford County EMS and Dugone was flown to Freeman West in Joplin, Mo., by Eagle Med. Their condition is currently unknown.

At about 9:40 a.m. Thursday, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office received a wireless 911 call reporting a one-vehicle rollover accident with two people injured. Both Justice and Dugone had to be extricated from the vehicle by county EMS.

The accident occurred when the eastbound vehicle left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The vehicle then struck a culvert and went airborne. The vehicle landed in the ditch and overturned onto the passenger side, the news release said.

The accident is still under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.
