Jenkins' staff will be traveling to communities throughout the 2nd District to provide accessible service to Kansas residents. Staff will available to assist with any federal issues.
"With high gas prices and a tough economy, folks can't always make it to my offices in Pittsburg and Topeka, so we are bringing our offices to their communities." Jenkins said. "I hope to make it easier for Kansans to have their voices heard and to help them navigate the federal bureaucracy."
Offices will be set up at the following locations:
* Monday, June 22 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at Osage City Hall, 1:30-3 p.m. in the Conference Room A at the Coffey County Courthouse in Burlington, and from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the County Annex Building in Ottawa.
* Tuesday, June 23 from 9-11 a.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Brown County Building in Hiawatha, from 12-2 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Law Enforcement Center in Atchison, and from 3-5 p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at the Leavenworth County Courthouse in Leavenworth.
* Wednesday, June 24 from 8-10 a.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Columbus, from 12-2 p.m. at Labette Community College in Parsons, and from 3-5 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Neodesha City Hall in Neodesha.
* Thursday, June 25 from 9-11 a.m. at the Rossville City Hall in Rossville, from 12-2 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Wamego City Hall in Wamego, and from 3-5 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room in the Riley County Courthouse in Manhattan.
* Friday, June 26 from 8-10 a.m. in the Gordon Parks Center at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, from 12-2 p.m. at the Community National Bank in Iola, and from 3-5 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Chanute City Hall in Chanute.
