Greyhound softball players receive All- American honor

Two Fort Scott Community College softball players were named to the Louisville Slugger NFCA NJCAA Division II All-American Team. FSCC Outfielder Sarah Doyle was named to the First Team and FSCC Outfielder Hannah Somers made Second Team.

Doyle is a sophomore from Prairie Village. She was named First Team All-Conference and is the FSCC single-season and career stolen base leader with 38 this season and 69 in her career.

Somers is from Lawrence and will continue her career at Evangel University next season. Somers, a two-year starter for the Greyhounds, holds the career and single-season home run record at FSCC. She hit 16 home runs in 2009 and 25 total in her two years as a Greyhound.
