Mr. and Mrs. James DeMoss, Fort Scott, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebekah Sue DeMoss, to Kyle Lewis Varvel, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Varvel, LeRoy, Kan.

The bride to be is currently a senior at Pittsburg State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education and majoring in history/government. She is currently employed by the Pittsburg State University Registar's Office.

The groom to be is also currently attending Pittsburg State University and will graduate in July of 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and will begin pursuing his Master of Business Administration in August of 2009. He is currently employed by Pittsburg State University Police and Parking.

The couple plan an Aug. 8, 2009, wedding at the Assembly of God Church, in LeRoy.
