George -- 40 years

Bugs and Mary Ellen George, of Uniontown, Kan., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2009, with a reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Uniontown High School Commons Area. The couple's five children will host the event.

Bugs and the former Mary Ellen Martin were married June 15, 1969, at RLDS Church, Fort Scott, Kan.

Their children are Lori Davis, Joyce Arter, Brenda Clements, Mike George and Jacque George. Their grandchildren are Zachary, Luke and Caleb Davis, and Emily and Chase Clements.
