Alex Barner (seated, right), a recent graduate of Fort Scott High School, signed a letter of intent Thursday morning to play football at Fort Scott Community College in the upcoming season. With Barner as he signed were (clockwise from upper left), FSHS head coach Don Epps, grandfather LeRoy Nelson and grandmother Louise Nelson. NJCAA rules did not allow FSCC head coach Jeff Sims to appear at the signing.

Great for Alex! With some of the negative things in the news lately it's nice to see something so positive. Your grandparents and family have good reason to be very proud of you and I hope you go very far with your sports and career!
