Leo served during WWII for the US Army in the Amphibious Engineers from March 1943 until January 1946. He was a farmer, and later worked for the Farmers Co-Op for 21 years.
He is survived by a daughter; Leona Miller of Fort Scott, a son; Norman Cranston of Pleasanton, Kansas, four grandsons, two great-grandsons, and four great-granddaughters. In addition to his wife, Lilly, Leo was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers; Lloyd A. Cranston, Carroll Cranston, and Verle Cranston.
Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct graveside services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Memory Gardens Cemetery of Bourbon County.
