McCord hits second hole-in-one

Golfers consider a hole-in-one the ultimate trial of their skills and techniques, and it is the single most difficult and rare achievement a golfer can accomplish at any level.

Former Nevada High School golfer Logan McCord fulfilled every golfer's dream Tuesday afternoon by completing that rare and difficult feat-- for the second time.

While out golfing at the Nevada Country Club with his father, Larry, Bill Wynn, John Ullman and Eric Barwick, McCord hit a hole-in-one on the course's sixth hole. McCord has been golfing for several years and is a former member of the Nevada High School boys' golf team.

McCord graduated from Nevada High School in 2004, but according to his father, has been golfing for approximately eight to 10 years. In those few years of playing the game, McCord has now been lucky enough to hit the ace twice.

In October of 2007, McCord was out golfing at the Nevada Country Club and hit the first hole-in-one of his life on the very same hole.

Just a year and a half later, he returned to the same hole and luck was on his side once again.

According to Golf Digest, the odds of hitting a hole-in-one vary depending on a lot of sources and the numbers used to calculate those odds, but the magazine estimates the chances at around 12,750 to one for an amateur player. McCord has now repeated the feat that most golfers -- professional and amateur alike -- can only dream of.
