Ballou -- 50 years

Larry Lee and Johnna Kay Ballou will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2009. The Ballous were married at Grace Baptist Tabernacle, in Fort Scott, on Easter Sunday March 29, 1959, by the Rev. Claude Craven. The couple noted that their anniversary has never fallen on Easter Sunday since their wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Ballou are parents of three children, six grandchildren and one stepgrandchild, four great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. The children and grandchildren will host a reception at The Hob-Nob in Fort Scott.
